Never Thought I'd Love Again (Second Chance) - Chapter 1

Sam was walking around the park when he saw a girl sitting at one of the bench,looking up in the sky with her eyes closed and tears falling from her eyes.He was near her and couldn't help but took a picture of her which made her opened her eyes and she looked at him for a while and then she looked up again in the sky and closed her eyes.He sat beside her and asked..


"Why are you crying?" Sam asked.The girl opened her eyes and looked at Sam.

"Why you asking? I don't know you" The girl said.

"Yeah I know you don't know me.I'm just curious,why are you crying?" Sam said.

"Nothing.And don't bother asking why.It just hurts me,you know?! I hate it!" The girl said and tears came running down to her face again.And Sam wiped it.

"Okay.Don't cry.You'll move on someday" Sam said and smiled to her.

She smiled at him sadly."Well,it's easy for you to say that cause you don't even know what my problem is!"

"I may not know what it is but I know what you're feeling right now" Sam said.

Somehow the girl felt comfortable but she still can't forget it,it's not that easy for her."Maybe you do.Have you had a girlfriend?" she asked.

"No,doesn't have any before.Still can't find the girl I will love for the rest of my life.And forgot to ask,what's you name?" He said and smiled.

"That cute,angelic face still haven't had a girlfriend?" she said and laughed."My name is Devon,Devon Seron.You?" She said with a smile on her face.

"Oh Devon,My name is Samuel,Samuel Concepcion but just call me 'Sam'.Kay?" He said.

"Yeah sure.Uhmm..I need to go..I will meet my friends.So,I guess we'll meet again someday" she said.

"When will that be?" he said laughing."Kay.Bye and see you soon.Again" He said smiling.

"Kay" Devon said and leaves.

Sam forgot to get her number but she's already gone.He decided to go to Arron's house.

Devon went to the Coffee Shop where she will meet with Fretzie and Enrique.She went where the two was sitting and sat on one of the chairs.


"What took you so long,Devs?" Fretzie said.

"Sorry .I just went to the park and someone talked to me,that's why I took so long." Devs said.

"Who talked to you?" Fretzie asked curiously.

"His name is Samuel Concepcion" she said.

"Who is he?" Enrique asked.

"I don't know who is he.He saw me crying and he sat beside me then asked why I'm crying and that started our conversation." Devs said.

"You cried again? You still haven't move on? Devs you're just hurting yourself!" Fretz said.

"I know! It's still hurts,Fretz" Devs said.tears came running down her face again.

"Shh.It's okay,Devs.Just don't hurt yourself just because of him" fretz said.

"Fretzie's right.Don't hurt yourself.He doesn't deserve you" Quen said and smiled.

"Thanks.I'm lucky to have two around.Where's Leen?" Devs asked.

"Leen's studying for her exam the day after tomorrow." Fretz said.

"Oh,I see." Devs said.

They decided to take Devs home so she could rest.Fretz and Quen got home too.They need a rest.

Sam knocked at Arron's door.


Arron opened it and saw Sam.

"So what's up? Look so happy huh?" Arron said and laughed.

Sam laughed. "Do I look happy?" He said.jokingly.

"Yeah! And it's so obvious.Is it about a girl?" Arron said.

"Yeah,and her name is Devon Seron."He said.

"Nice.Looks like you really like her.do you?" Arron said and laughed.

"Maybe,I don't know.But when I saw her a while ago in the park,she's crying.Don't know why." Sam said.

Arron looked at Sam's face expression and laugh.He never seen hi bestfriend in that expression.

"Why you laughing?!" Sam asked.

"Nothing don't mind me." Arron said."Do you have a picture of her?"

"Yeah.It was stolen.that's when I saw her crying." Sam said.Showing the picture to Arron.

"She's pretty." Arron said.

"I know right?!" Sam laughed."I need to go.I need some rest.See you tomorrow?"

"Yeah sure." Arron said.

Sam leaves and went home.He's tired and need to rest.When he got home he looked at Devon's picture and fell asleep.
