Never Thought I'd Love Again (Second Chance) - Chapter 8

After 2 months...


Devz didn't saw Sam for a couple of months.She's relieved when she knew someone wouldn't ask about her past or about James..She's irritated with Sam when he started to ask about it..But somehow she misses Sam..that guy who would annoy her..She misses him..but she doesn't can't have feelings for him..she wouldn't broke her promise..

Fretzie called her...she asked her if she wanted to go out,she agreed..Fretzie said to her that she should get ready and Fretzie will be there any minute before she ended the call..Devon started to take a shower and then changed clothes,just like what she always wear T-shirt and jeans...then she's ready to go and Fretzie was already there knocking on her house..


"Let's go" Devon said and smiled at Fretzie.

"Okay...So where do we go?" Fretzie asked.

"You're the one who asked me to go out and you don't know where should we go?" Devon said and laughed.

"Yeah,I forgot" Fretzie said and laughed.

They rode a taxi which can bring them to the mall...after half an hour they reached the mall and payed the taxi..the went inside and went to a restaurant to eat..Fretzie ordered food for them...while waiting for their orders Fretzie asked Devon..


"So,why you aren't with Sam?" Fretzie asked Devon.

"I didn't saw him for the past 2 months" Devon answered.

"Really? I think you miss that guy huh?" Fretzie said with a teasing tone in her voice.

Devon laughed."Yeah,to be honest.I miss that guy even if he annoys me with his questions about...James" she said and sighed.

"Hey! It's okay..at least there is someone who is brave enough to ask about your past..and besides I feel that he likes you" Fretzie said and smiled.

"Hey! stop that" Devon said and laughed.

"Haha what's wrong with it? I'm just saying what I thought about you and Sam and besides ..I can feel that you like him too" She said and smiled at Devon.

"Oh no! I can't have feelings for him and Yeah,I like him as a friend..Remember,my promise." Devon said.

Fretzie looked at her and hold her hand."Devz,are you sure about that? I mean,forget about your promise.You can't stop your heart to love someone." Fretzie said to Devon..After Fretzie said that she knew her cousin was serious but she already made her choice.

"Sorry Fretzie,but..you know how much my heart broke when James left me,and I don't want to get hurt again." She said.

"Okay,If I can't really stop you from that stupid promise." Fretzie said and smiled at her.

"Thanks..let's stop this conversation..here's our orders." She said.

They ate their foods and after eating they decided to watch a movie and then walk around the mall...after 3 hours in the mall they decided to go to Devon's house..they rode a taxi and brought them to Devon's house...

Devon was opening her door and Fretzie was looking around..she looked at the house next to Devon's when she saw Sam.."So, these two were neighbors huh? I guess I need to talk to Sam" Fretzie thought..


"Ahh,Devon..I need to go home already.I have things to do" She said to Devon.

"Huh? Okay" Devon said. Devon got inside her house and closed the door.

After Devon got into her house...Fretzie knocked on Sam's house.
