Never Thought I'd Love Again (Second Chance) - Chapter 9

Fretzie went to Sam's house..she knocked and Sam opened it..


"Oh,Hey Fretzie" He said and smiled.

"Hey" she said. "Can I come in?"

"Oh,Yeah.Sure" He said and smiled.

They entered the house and sat at the sofa..

"So,what brings you here? And how did you know where I live?" He asked.

"Well,it's not important of how did I know where you live.What important is,I need to talk to you for something" Fretzie said.

"Okay" he said. "So,what is it?"

"About Devz" Fretzie said.

After Sam heard the name he lit up his face and got a little curious..

"What is it about Devon? Is she okay?" he asked.worriedly.

"Yes,she's okay.But something in her heart doesn't" Fretzie said. "You know about James,right?"

"Yeah,I know that guy.Why? do it has something to do with James?" He asked.

"Uhh,Yes.You know that they had been in a relationship but James broke up with her,right?"

"Yes" he said.

"Well,that affected Devz,so much.That she's really hurt and came to the point of deciding to move on and promised to....not love again." Fretzie sighed and sighed.

"What?! She couldn't have done that" He said.

"I know right? That's why I came here" Fretzie said.

"Okay.But why are you saying these to me?" He asked.

"Cause,she needs you.We need you,to help our friend and make her realize that those stupid promises couldn't have been made.You get my point?" Fretzie said.

"Yes.So,what should I do?" he asked.

"Just make her happy.Be one of her best buds.Just make her happy that at some point she will realize that promise,is nothing" Fretzie said.

"Okay" He said and smiled.

"Uhh,before I leave,just wanna ask you something?" she said.

"Okay.What is it?"

"Do you like my cousin?" Fretzie said.With a teasing voice.He laughed.

"Well,let's say that...I love her" He said.Grinning.

"Well,someone's in love with my beautiful cousin..Haha" She said. .

"Whatever..haha" He said and smiled. "Oh wait,can you tell me where Devon lives?" he asked.

"Haha..I can't.Discover it yourself." Fretzie said and smiled. "Hey,I uhmm..need to go.Bye"

"Oh,Okay."

Fretzie left Sam's house and went home she sent a message to Quen and told him about what she and Sam talked about...it was late afternoon when Fretzie went home..Sam is still thinking of where Devon lives..He went to his room to change clothes,he looked at his window and...there she is..Devon's house is next to his..they're neighbors..


"Guess I don't have to go far just to go to her house..We're neighbors."  Sam thought.

He changed clothes and went out to buy food for his dinner..

Devz finished eating her dinner and went to her room..she's talking with Leen while Quen was downstairs watching TV..


"So,Devz.Have you already moved on?" Leen asked.

"Yeah.I'm getting there.But some of our memories still coming back,I hate it" Devz said.Tears already wanted to fall.But Leen stopped her.

"Hey,It's ok.It's part of it.But if you already moved on,those memories,forget about them until you're not hurt anymore.You understand?" Leen said.

"Yeah I understand." Devz said and smiled.

"And there's this person who you will love again." Leen said and smiled at Devz.

"Do you know about my promise?"  Devz asked.

"Yes,I do know about it.But it's not right,I mean why would you do such thing as that? If the reason is you don't want to get hurt again,it's part of it.You need to be strong." Leen said and smiled.

Devz looked at Leen and smiled."Thank you for being my Best friend" Devon hugged Leen and Leen did the same.

Leen smiled and shouted."Quen!"

Quen heard Leen,shouting his voice.He turned off the TV and run to Devz room..


"What happened?" Quen asked.

"Nothing.I think Devz just need a hug" Leen smiled.

"Ahh.I thought something bad happened.Haha" Quen said and hugged the two ladies in front of him.

After minutes of hugging each other...


"You two should go.It's already late" Devz said and smiled.

"Okay." Quen said.

They hugged again and left Devon's house and went home..When the two left Devz changed clothes,she turned off the lights and took a rest.

Sam got home and ate his dinner..after eating he went to his room,took one glance at his window,changed clothes and laid on his bed..


"I guess I'll visit her tomorrow morning" He thought and smiled.

After that he turned off the lights and went to sleep..
